Thanks.  The winds are picking up here in NW Houston but it's not bad...yet.

Looks like the storm is picking up speed, lets hope it weakens before it hits land.  Good luck to anyone in the path of Ike.  I will go have a beer for you guys now.. ;D

Well, it appears the worst is over for NW Houston.  Power went out around 3:00 am and is still out.  Our pear tree in the back snapped at the base and took out the back fence.  But if that's all the damage I'll be happy because a LOT of folks will have it much worse than us.
