Looks like the storm is picking up speed, lets hope it weakens before it hits land.  Good luck to anyone in the path of Ike.  I will go have a beer for you guys now..

Well, it appears the worst is over for NW Houston.  Power went out around 3:00 am and is still out.  Our pear tree in the back snapped at the base and took out the back fence.  But if that's all the damage I'll be happy because a LOT of folks will have it much worse than us.
