yes, and a solid example of the gap being filled: from .73 gap down to .46, and the gap getting filled from .46 bottom back to .73 top, right at MA50, before being pushed back down some.

Oh wow... so that would be what "playing the gap" means: if you see a gap somewhere, you can guess pretty solidly that it will probably come back in to be filled, that you could probably get reentry at the low jump off point where the gap started, right? Thanks for filling me in!

There is a long green candle today, but the thin needle (wick?)is on the bottom instead of the top... what does that imply?

The wick is always at the top. That thin needle means the stock has pulled back much at the open, but, recovered very well to close near the HOD.
