Williams %R and IQ charts
« on: August 07, 2009, 12:37:16 AM »
Great TA section Doc, I never tried to use PARSAR or much more than MACD, Stochastics, and 3 MA's, but after reading some of the TA here, I got into  PARSAR and other indicators. I was quite motivated to read a good bit. All night matter of fact. So thanks for the site.

I use IQ charts and decided to try out Williams %R since it is a lead type indicator. Does anyone have any experience using this indicator, and if so, what kind of experience have you had with it?

Also, I like your charting site, does it provide real time quotes? This is one thing I really like about IQ charts. They also have a great tutorial on candlesticks, patterns, and indicators. IQ gives real time quotes and is a little more user friendly, but its also a subscription service, I am uh, kind of a tightwad too, but my gains are much nicer with good charting.

Read the first message of the second sticky post of this board, you have a link to my template/sample chart, I use it every time, since about 10 years ago, I tried all indicators available and IMO, these are the best.

Williams %R is not a good indicator, IMO.

I use stockcharts.com, for me they are the best charts on the web, the charts are delayed 20m, but, I never needed a real time chart to analyze a stock, and they are free, I don't know if they provide real-time charts.

They have a tutorial also, just click the Glossary link on the footer of the site.

I don't see the need to pay $50 month to have charts, but, this is me.

Williams %R is certainly not my favorite indicator. Divergence and overbought/oversold functions are the only things I take away from it, but CCI and StochRSI do the same thing for what I look for.

I personally like stockcharts and they have a 15 second auto refresh feature which I enjoy too. Well worth the membership IMHO.
