Will test 52 week low soon,if not before earnings, after for sure. In the US Ford is kicking ass,but the rest of their world operations are quite lackluster, especially in the Euro-zone.(help us out Doc,and buy a Ford over there.LOL) During the earnings dump,Ford may go as low as in the $8.00 range, and possibly trickle back up to the high $9s,or higher before next earnings?

Throw all of that out of the window if they up their div.,which could happen with their debt being rapidly paid down, but which may have slowed due to the Euro-factor? But don't count on it,with to much uncertainy in the markets, and world economies.2013 should be a lot better for Ford if the next presidental election, the right guy gets elected.(which I'm not sure that guy is even running for President LOL)

Disclosure: Long Ford

Will trade sideways, I don't see a strong reaction due to the dividend.

Thats not what I wrote before posting the div news, they needed to raise their div to get the pps to get a bounce. A .05c div is what they have paid the last 2 Qs. The only thing that can make this rise now is some kind of a huge QE3.

They came out with a PR a couple of weeks ago lowering their earnings forcast because of Europe,I think they said they forcast a loss of 557mill from over there this Q.

If anyone is interested in Ford stock, wait to buy after earnings, the trend this year has been to dump after earnings no matter how good they were. And this Q could be a miss unless U.S. operations profit is enough to offset their overseas losses.Even if it is,like I said, the market likes to hammer down Ford's pps after earnings.

Well,Ford beat analysts(reduced) estimates, but their profit was 57% less than last year's.And like I said the pps got hammered down, and to a new 52 week low today. Days after earnings the pps usually recovers somewhat, depending on market conditions, before the next leg down.

What I think will happen is the whispers of some kind of share buyback may soon come true. They have 2 out of three investment grade ratings, and to be able to get the last one from S&P,their stock will need to perform a lot better than it has. Without raising the div, this may be their only avenue left to accomplish this.(and why such a low pps right now,in 2009 when they only made a couple of pennies per share their stock was @ around $9.00 ps,the lower the pps the more shares they can buy back)  JMO,or guess, because they need to do something, they have almost $28 billion in cash on hand, and their market cap is only 34.2 billion, they are almost trading for the cash they have on hand!

They went private before,it could happen again.(don't think so,but cha never know)

Just sayin, keep this one on your watch lists.
