Hi everyone.

From Cleveland - I have very modest investment goals. I'm not really looking for a way to "Get rich fast" but of course I wouldn't object if such a thing occurred.

I'm new to investing overall other than bonds and a 401k plan. Pennystocks caught my attention due to their low point of entry ($1,000) - so I spent a few weeks learning about them and how most people seem to think very poorly of them. This board seemed exceptional in that not only did it not look down on them, but in fact seemed very positive about them.

I went ahead and purchased my Gold Membership knowing that was the fastest route to get after the information I was looking for and hope to see all of you around as I grow more familiar with the forum and topic overall.

My long term goals are to live under my means to save/invest enough and provide a solid and stable retirement for me and my wife in 30 years (I'm 32 now).

Thanks so much,
Brian

PS - What's everyone favorite online broker that works with common tax software (H&R/TurboTax)? Sharebuilder? Scotttrade?

Just curious - I need to get up to speed quickly on things as I can already tell I'm in slightly above my head. Yikes Smiley

Welcome aboard Grin

I am only able to advise you about what is the best broker to trade penny stocks, right now I advise to go with Etrade, I am using TDAmeritrade, since about 15 years, and, always advised to go with them, but, as of late, they are not accepting buy orders in stocks that are in a list, Etrade allows them, so now and only due to this detail, I advise to go with Etrade.

About the tax detail, I can't advise, because I live in Germany, so I don't need to use their tax software, but, I think you can find it on their web sites.

Welcome aboard Brian.  Regarding the taxes, I'm pretty sure all of them provide the form of buys/sales to you for filing your taxes.  I'm using TDA and my bank (USAA) for trading and filing my trades was pretty simple last year.  Best of luck from one 32 year old to another Smiley

Yeah agreed. I'm sure all of them give you the trade details - I was mostly curious if there were any that were extremely user friendly with tax software. But now that I've looked into some of the buy/sell recommendations - I can see that at my price point, trade cost might be the biggest concern as each two way trade will absorb a good portion of profit with it.

Ah, yes very close indeed! Shame you don't live there still, I'd offer to buy you a coffee while I picked your brain a little Smiley

--- Thanks guys for the warm welcome Smiley
