I've been investing in penny stocks for a couple of months now and I quickly figured out that I need to learn something about this before I get much deeper into it.  I started because I live in coal country and I was aware of a coal company that filed for BK so I thought I'd get in cheap and catch some bumps up and make a little money while it played out.  Right now I'm just waiting on the bid to break to .027 so I can get out and break even, but I don't have much faith that it's going to get there before this thing shakes out.

So far, I've got 2,000 PCXCQ at 0.239 (currently 0.1311), 7,500 DIMI at 0.04594, 10,000 KMAG at 0.0099 (currently 0.014 but also currently suspended and from what I understand going to greys when trading resumes on Oct.1), 20,000 BBDA at 0.009 (currently .0091).  I finally learned to be patient and watch for a stock to drop below support before I bought, now I'm learning to be patient so I can exit some of my positions on a positive note.  I've also learned to average down; my original purchase of DIMI was at 0.0898.  I thought my first venture into this would be a quick in and out and I'm still sitting on it hoping for what seems like a miracle.  Anyway, I'm glad to be here and to have the opportunity to learn how to do this myself (technically) instead of relying on others DD on the hub.

In my neck of the woods most people are very blue, I've found that it doesn't matter if you live 100 miles from Lexington or downtown, UK fans are usually very passionate.  I'm only that way about our basketball.  I could take or leave the football, however, I would be a bigger fb fan if we weren't the laughing stock of our division.

Good to know. My wife and I drive from Illinois at least once a year to go see the Cats play at Rupp. I got hooked on them back in the 70's when they had a guy named Jay Shidler from a town about 30 miles from me, been a fan ever since. I agree on the football program, Joker has got to go. LOL Welcome again and Go Big Blue !!

Welcome aboard Grin

I would advise to use these links to learn a lot:

http://stockcharts.com/school/doku.php?id=chart_school:glossary_a

Click also all the links under ChartSchool contents.

Any doubt, post on the technical analysis thread, the free one, or on the paid boards, as you are a Gold member.
